RESIDENT SUPPORT WORKER
Primary responsibility of a Resident Support Staff is to assist Program Manager in maximizing resident’s success while participating in short term transitional housing program.
Provide supervision of mothers (18-35) and their children in short term housing program
Support residents to complete transition plan goals toward self sufficiency
Ensure that residents are following house rules including curfew hours.
Prepare reports and correspondence using a computer
Supporting residents in developing life skills
Interact with other internal programs, support staff and external sources such as school or community personnel as applicable.
Provide and/or assist in coordinating transportation for residents to essential appointments, outings or employment related activities
Communicate effectively in a culturally competent and diverse consumer population and promotes favorable interaction with volunteers, co-workers and others.

Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work or related field and/or 1 year of related experience in the areas of residential living.
Demonstrated experience and ability to relate to a culturally diverse clientele and staff.
Must possess a valid driver's license and insurance
Must demonstrate ability to work as part of a team.
Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
