Kalea arrived with a three-month-old son, without a job, childcare or resources to move into her own place.  She entered our short-term transitional housing program at “Foundation House” in mid-December. Eager to stop moving every couple of days, seek employment, childcare, and a fresh start. Kalea reported “the program was a good stepping stone” as she prepared to move into her own apartment. 

For Kalea, a first-time mother, it was her first time parenting, learning money management skills, and living on her own. She reported It was eye-opening and a taste of real life.  She enjoyed “good energy” as she learned how to cope with every day.
